Generalized Thermoelastic Problem Concerning Emi–Infinite Rods

In this paper, we have solved a generalized thermoelasticity problem concerning to semi – infinite thin rods subjected to velocity impact. To study the importance of the presence of the strain–acceleration term in the field equations, we have solved the problem 1) with 2) without the term containing strain- acceleration and obtained the solutions for small values of time. We analyzed the results by representing them graphically.
